Miles, Momentum, and Moments That Matter
Saturday started with a road trip to Piedmont, Oklahoma.
Three basketball games.
High energy.
Tough competition.
And a long break between the second and third (final) game.
So we made it an adventure.
During that break, we drove into the Oklahoma City area — doing what we do — hunting diecast cars, exploring stores, and making the most of the miles that come with chasing a passion for basketball.
The mid-game break ended at Harley-Davidson World in OKC.
Her first time stepping into that world.
Likely the first of many.
New sights.
New sounds.
A whole different atmosphere than a basketball court.
And in the middle of it, an unexpected but meaningful conversation.
We met Craig Milam from Nation of Patriots and talked about what they do for veterans — how donations raised in Oklahoma stay in Oklahoma, directly supporting veterans here at home. We discussed their mission, their goals, and the importance of local impact.
That matters.
Because service isn’t just something you talk about — it’s something you see working inside your own state.
Sunday, news broke that Wheelz — a roller rink — is coming to town!
Two completely different moments.
One weekend.
But both connected.
A child pursuing basketball.
A conversation centered around supporting veterans locally.
A new business is investing in families here in Cushing.
That’s what community looks like.
Investment.
Opportunity.
People choosing to show up.
At Cardinal Outdoor Services LLC, we provide professional lawn maintenance and property care across Cushing and Payne County. But caring for property is only part of what keeps a town strong.
It’s the miles.
The conversations.
The businesses opening doors.
The parents supporting passion.
The kids building something bigger.
We’re proud to serve Cushing. And we’re proud to see it continue moving forward — through service, through opportunity, and through places that bring people together.
